	<ABSTRACT>&lt;p&gt;Blogs, message boards and email listservs are increasingly popular among teachers seeking support and advice on managing their classrooms more effectively, says this article, &amp;quot;Spreading the Word,&amp;quot; from a recent issue of ASCD's Education Update (February 2005). &amp;quot;Topics discussed in blogs range from perspectives on education policy and curriculum issues to effective classroom management tips and personal survival strategies.&amp;quot; In addition, many accomplished and novice teachers are now meeting together online in a virtual mentoring environment, where mentors and mentees learn from one another and veterans are often able to provide a level of support and reassurance that's lacking in a novice teacher's physical school. The collaborative nature of these virtual communities, says one expert, &amp;quot;helps break down classroom walls.&amp;quot; Several members of the Teacher Leaders Network contributed to this article, which is publicly available.
