%0 Web Page %D 2003 %T A TLN Conversation: Exploring No Child Left Behind %A Network, Teacher Leaders %U http://www.teacherleaders.org/old_site/Conversations/ %X The controversy over the federal No Child Left Behind law was definitely coming to a boil in December 2003 when members of the Teacher Leaders Network met online with six national experts to discuss the law's short- and long-term impact on teaching and learning. The experts were asked to diagnose the law's current state of health and offer a prognosis and a course of treatment. Teachers were asked to describe NCLB's biggest impacts on their professional work thusfar. "What are the positives you see emerging from this unprecedented federal mandate? What are the negatives?"
