Ariel Sacks graduated from Bank Street College’s Middle School General Education program in 2006, committed to implementing progressive pedagogy in high needs public schools. She taught English and worked with pre-service teachers at Middle School 45 in East Harlem for three years through Bank Street’s Partnership For Quality. In her fourth year, she teaches eighth grade English and serves as a team leader at the School For Democracy and Leadership in Brooklyn. She is a member of the national Teacher Leaders Network and has published articles about her work in Teacher Magazine, the NY Daily News, and Bank Street’s Occasional Papers Series.
