Letter to the President--Teaching Quality
Publication Type:Web Article
Year of Publication:2005
In a letter to the President at the beginning of his second term, the Southeast Center for Teaching Quality offers ideas about how the Bush administration can "help provide the kind of teaching we all want for our nation's students." The letter includes comments from several members of the Teacher Leaders Network, including this one: ""In the end, it is going to take a committed effort to restructure the teaching profession, making it a more attractive career choice. Without this restructuring, we will never be able to retain the kinds of talented professionals needed to meet the challenges facing low-performing schools."
