The website "Teachers Pay Teachers" has generated lots of attention since in came online in April 2006--including stories on CNN and a nomination for a World Technology Award. The "eBay like site," as one newspaper described it, allows teachers to post their lesson plans, course materials and other professional work online and put a price on it. Creator Paul Edelman, a former English teacher, says he created the financial incentive system to encourage more teachers to share their work--and help everyone freshen their curriculum. Edelman takes 15% of each sale, teacher-authors get the rest. Each purchase is tax deductible. Got anything you'd like to buy or sell?
